Well Michelle Obama was in touting the 'remarkable progress' in the economy over the last three years. Doug Powers has a pretty good example of that improvement: a couple of hundred new government employes working in welfare offices.

This, of course, proves Nancy Pelosi right - unemployment is good for the economy. The more  people who are unemployed, the more people who can find a job giving out food stamps to people who are unemployed. 

Of course, once everybody who is unemployed gets a job handing out food stamps, there will be no more unemployed people who need them. This will probably result in massive layoffs, thereby creating a need for food stamps. 

It will be like a paid vacation for government workers..
