Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., released his 2011 Waste Book Tuesday, detailing preposterous uses for your hard-earned money.
While Democrats, including the campaigner-in-chief, want to raise taxes on employers, the federal government is spending billions on drug-themed hippie pizzerias, promoting animal cruelty and booze for parties.
The report shows that the federal government has spent $35.38 million to "help pay for the stages, confetti, balloons, food, and booze for their political conventions." Both parties receive $17.7 million for these lavish soirees. What benefit, exactly, are the taxpayers receiving from this?
